Machelle L. Shoemaker, age 45, resident of Shelby died Saturday, March 14, 2015 at the Hospice House in Ashland.
Born July 6, 1969 in Mansfield to Charles and Mildred (Werick) Arnold she had been a Lucas-Mansfield area resident for many years moving to Shelby in 2007. She was currently employed as manager of the Subway in Shelby. Machelle looked forward to riding Harley Davidson motorcycles with her husband and their trips to the surrounding states. She also enjoyed watching NASCAR racing, whether it be on television or at the track.
She is survived by her husband Patrick R. Shoemaker, Sr., whom she wed June 29, 2002; her children Steven and Kayla Haynes, Sara Bryan, Misty (Kris) Lee, Patrick (Julia) Shoemaker, Jr., Craig Shoemaker, Blair Shoemaker and Cody Shoemaker; eight grandchildren; her father Chuck (Phyllis) Arnold of Mansfield; one brother Paul Arnold; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her mother Mildred Arnold and a grandson Keaton.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday March 19, 2015 at the Barkdull Funeral Home and Crematory in Shelby. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 2 to 5 p.m.
