The 5th Annual Raising Richland Community Garden Summit will feature a garden summit for children from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on March 19 at the Longview Center, 1495 W. Longview Ave. Mansfield.

Richland County Master Gardener Volunteers have planned many hands-on activities for youth in grades K-6, including plant identification bingo, food stamping with paint, a seed scavenger hunt, and making super snacks.

This event will be fun for every age. The adult program runs from 5:30 to 8:30 and features speakers, displays and more.

The Raising Richland Community Garden Summit is free and open to all. The event is sponsored by NECIC, Richland County Creating Healthy Communities, Richland County Master Gardeners, and The Ohio State University Extension.
