Rose Marie Wigglesworth, 84, of Gallipolis died Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 11, 2015 in Altarcare of Canal Winchester following an extended illness. Rose was born Feb. 15, 1930 in Richland County and was the daughter of the late Lee and Leone (Trumpower) Smart. She was a 1948 graduate of Perrysville High School and had been a resident of Gallipolis since 1971. Rose worked twelve years at Gallipolis Developmental Center in food service before retiring in 1991. She enjoyed reading and cooking but the love of her life was her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Kimberle Wigglesworth of New Albany; two daughters, Jayne Wigglesworth of Groveport and Jo Wigglesworth of Vienna, WV; four grandchildren: Jennifer Kiesling, Abby (Victor) Zancudo, David Imboden, and Taylor Wigglesworth; three great-grandchildren: Max, Presley, and Stefan Zancudo; one brother: Jerry (Nancy) Smart of Hernando, FL; and three sisters: Shirley (Jim) Austin of Ashland, Nancy Taylor of Lakeville, and Susan Draper of Perrysville. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Larry Smart, and her sister, Joyce Emery.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 14 at 12 p.m. in Lindsey Funeral Home, Loudonville with Rev. Howard Burnett officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Perrysville. Friends may call Saturday morning from 10:30 a.m. until 12 p.m. in the funeral home.
