The Richland County Master Gardener Volunteers extend an opportunity to the public to attend individual Master Gardener training classes.
The majority of classes are held Monday evenings from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Longview Center, 1495 West Longview Ave., Mansfield. All-day classes will be held Saturdays, Feb. 28 and March 28.
Topics to be covered include soil and fertility, vegetables, fruits, woody and herbaceous ornamentals, houseplants, plant pathology, Integrated Pest Management, pruning, lawns and lawn alternatives, propagation, and insects. Classes are taught by OSU Extension faculty, Kingwood Center Staff, Master Gardeners, and other local experts.
