MANSFIELD, Ohio-A deceased white male was found in a parked Chevrolet Silverado 1500 in the Mansfield Liederkranz parking lot at approximately 2 p.m. on Monday.
“Somebody here at the Liederkranz must have observed a pick-up truck in their parking lot that had been here for a little while,” said Richland County Coroner’s Investigator Bob Ball.
The Mansfield Police and Fire Departments were called to the scene. At the scene, they found that the white male was deceased, said Ball.
He said, “We don’t know positively who he is; we don’t know why he’s here; we don’t know any cause at this point.”
Ball did not observe any type of foul play that could have contributed to the death.
“Honestly, it looks like a natural death,” Ball speculated.
The body will be sent to Summit County for an autopsy, he said. “In the meantime, we’ve got to identify him. We don’t know who he is at this point,” he said.
Ball estimated that the male was in his late 40s or early 50s.
