Cecil C. Stephens, 83, of Iberia, died Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Signature Healthcare, Galion, following a stroke.
Cecil was born in Paducah, TX on January 8, 1932 to the late Samuel H. and Myrtle E. (Morris) Stephens. He married Barbara A. Brashears on July 3, 1948 and she survives him.
He retired from the Carpenter’s Local 200, Columbus. Cecil was a member of the Iberia Presbyterian Church, Iberia. He enjoyed woodworking, having a vegetable garden and he tooled leather.
He is survived by his three daughters Vickie Davis, Columbus, Sherri & Charles Alvey, TN, and Cecilia Stephens, Columbus, his son Mark Stephens, Pataskala, his eleven grandchildren Matthew Davis, Andrew Davis, Jason Martin, Margaret Travers, Sarah Kucharski, Kathryn Rooks, Marcus Cole, Jeremy Rickard, Nathaniel Rickard, Jacob Duffield, and Ian Duffield, and his seventeen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two grandchildren Shannon Davis and Luke Davis, and his four sisters and four brothers Hattie, Vera, Lynn, Frances, JoAnn, Hartzell, Dennis and Bobbie.
Friends may call Saturday, January 31, 2015 from 11:00 AM -1:00 PM at the Iberia Presbyterian Church, Iberia. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday at Iberia Presbyterian Church, Iberia with Pastor Jack Moore officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
