Waynesville, NC–Erna M. Hinz, 94, of Waynesville, NC, left this earth and went to be present with her Lord on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. Born December 21, 1920 in Elmstein, Germany, she was the daughter of Ludwig and Maria (Roth) Schenk. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth W. Hinz, step-mother Emma Schenk and brother, Karl Schenk.
She is survived by her sons, Keith Hinz and wife, Susan of Waynesvlle, NC and Wayne and wife, Karen of White, GA; grandchildren, Keith S.Hinz, Craig Hinz, Matt Hinz, Julie Ravish, Chad Hinz, Kristi Heffelfinger, Michael Blackledge-Hinz, Misty Lane, Aaron Lane and Brent Lane; 23 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren.
