CRESTLINE, Ohio – Councilman Kevin Taylor resigned his seat on Crestline Village Council effective Dec. 31. He said that when he asked questions regarding procedure issues, council rules and fund issues that he felt were inconsistent, he was met with resistance in getting the facts and the paperwork that he requested from the administration of the village.

Taylor also stated at Monday’s meeting that rumors and lies were spread about him, but he was cleared of all the accusations.

Taylor stated that he feels the Mayor David Sharrock is not doing his job as seen by the financial issues the village is experiencing. He thanked all the residents that supported him and apologized for not being able to fix all the problems brought to his attention.

Taylor’s resignation comes because of the “gross personal attacks” on himself and his family. He added that several times his bosses were called in an attempt to get him into trouble. He was investigated thoroughly by his bosses and cleared of all charges. He said he and his family will be moving out of Crestline and hopes the council can get a “fresh start with the new year.”
