The Richland County Foundation Board of Trustees approved grants totaling close to $340,000 during its December board meeting. Grants were awarded from donor-advised and donor-designated funds at the suggestion of the donors.
Field of interest and community funds were awarded to the following organizations: Community Action Capable Youth, Bullying Prevention Program; Cousteau Society, Annual Fund; Culliver Reading Center, Materials; Discovery School, Program Support; Downtown Mansfield Inc., Friends of Mansfield Parks; Galion Community Foundation, Galion Community Chorus Fund; Galion Community YMCA, General Support; First Congregational Church, General Support; Friendly House, General Support; Kingwood Center, Operations; Mansfield City Schools Fine Arts Fund, Program Support; Mansfield Memorial Museum, Special Projects – Displays; Mid-Ohio Opera, 2015 Season Outreach; Nature Conservancy, Annual Fund; North Central State College, College Now Classrooms; North Central State College, Emerald Club; Ohio Heartland Community Action Center, Food Pantry; Ohio State University Mansfield, Learning Collaborative Classroom; Renaissance Performing Arts, Education Department; Richland Academy, Scholarships; Richland Academy School of Excellence, Technology Upgrades; Richland County Children’s Auxiliary, Clothing; Richland Newhope Industries Fund, Program Support; Shelby Helpline Ministries, General Support; United Way, General Support.
