Marjorie R. Keefer, 94, of Galion died Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at home.

Born July 14, 1920 in Akron, she was the daughter of Ralph and Clara (Blauers) Baird. She married Donald Keefer on March 27, 1944 and he preceded her on November 11, 2001.

She was a graduate of Sulphur Springs High School and Tiffin University. Marjorie was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Esther Circle. She worked at the law firm of Petri, Hottenroth and Garverick where she was an executive secretary to Kenneth Petri. She was a member of American Legion Scarbrough Post 243 Auxiliary, Galion Golden Age Club Board of Directors, Crawford County Genealogical Society, Galion Community Hospital Auxiliary and played in many bridge clubs. 

She is survived by sons Donald Thomas “Tom” (Elsa) Keefer of Navarre and Gerald “Jerry” Keefer of Franklin, N.C.; daughter Margaret “Maggie” (Rodney) Dean of Galion; 13 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; sisters Marian Haines of Crestline, Winnie Kleinknect of Galion and Roberta (Bill) Kolesar of Minnesota and sister-in-law Marty Baird of California.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by sisters Esther Wagner and Carol Kuenzli and brother Dean Baird. 

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Snyder Funeral Home Richardson Davis Chapel, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday December 13, with Rev. Ash Welch officiating. 

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.
