Betty T. Quaint, 90, of Ontario, died Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at Lexington Court Care. Born May 8, 1924 in Cleveland, she was the daughter of Otto and Irene (Watson) Trucksis. A homemaker, Betty was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Akron.
She volunteered in the gift shop at St. Thomas Hospital and also the Weathervane Theatre where she helped in the office as well as the puppet shows. An independent yet generous woman, Betty was a gourmet cook and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Christine (Charles) Sansom of Ontario; sons, Glenn T. (Barbara) Quaint of Tennessee and Dale (Mary) Quaint of Florida; grandchildren, Sarah Quaint, Andrea Quaint, Sean (Linda) Quaint, and Holly Sansom; great grandchildren, Dylan and Logan Quaint; and her granddog, Muffin.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn W. Quaint; son, Jerry Quaint; and grandson, Brian Quaint.
A graveside memorial service in Northlawn Memorial Gardens will be held at a later date. Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family of Betty T. Quaint.
