Local residents will have the opportunity to begin their Christmas shopping early as well as support the Madison Rams Wrestling Team during the Madison Wrestling Craft Show on Oct. 25 at Madison Comprehensive High School.

This is the second year for the craft show, said event organizer Amy Cox. “This fundraiser helps the team get the extra things we need,” she said, noting those items include warm ups and singlets, as well as help with travel expenses. The fundraiser also helps cover the cost of sending wrestlers to camp over the summer, she added.

Cox noted that the wrestling team helps out a great deal with the event, not only serving food at the school’s concession stand, but also assisting vendors in setting up on the day of the show.

The show will feature more than 48 vendors offering handcrafted items including bath and body products, soy melts, pet items, honey, wood items, quilts, purses, jewelry and more. Cox noted one vendor will offer Harley Davidson jewelry, and another will offer American Indian items.

A 50/50 raffle will also be held and door prizes will be awarded.

Cox plans to make this an annual event. “This is a family event for the wrestling team,” she said. “Parents and siblings all help to make this a successful event.”

The show will be held at the high school, located at 600 Esley Lane, Mansfield, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Oct. 25. Admission is free. For more information, contact Amy Cox at 419-589-2404.
