Lawrence C. “Larry” Foust

Lawrence C. “Larry” Foust, 88, of Galion passed away Friday, October 10, 2014 at the Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus.

He was born December 19, 1925 in Marion and was the son of Richard and Edith (Curren) Foust. He married Monica (Harner) Foust on December 31, 1945 and she survives.

Larry worked at the former Hopkins Music in Galion. He was a life member of American Legion Scarbrough Post 243, Galion AMVETS, Moose Lodge 303 and the National Rifle Association. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed Ohio State football and basketball and the Cleveland Browns. Larry never knew a stranger and loved being with his family and grandchildren.

In addition to his wife of nearly 69 years he is survived by daughters Brenda Fry of Fredericktown and Lou (Bob) Lepp of Mansfield; son Mike (Cathy) Foust of Lexington; grandchildren Robin (Wade) Taylor, Scott Kimes, Jason Lepp, Roger (Melinda) Foust, Tina Foust and Kelly (Alex) Hetler; great grandchildren Shawna, Ben, Rowen, Brody and Ameilia and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sisters Magdelene Wilson, Daisy Casto and Betty Mae Ginder and brothers Gene, Les and John Foust.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Snyder Funeral Home Richardson Davis Chapel in Galion where services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 15 with Pastor Brian Mosher officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Galion.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in care of the funeral home.
