Helen Ruth Brandt Cannon, 97, of Mansfield, died Oct. 4, 2014. Born Jan. 21, 1917, she was the daughter of John and Wilhemina Brandt. Helen was a member of Ruth Chapter #17 Order of Eastern Star and was a Charter Member of Mansfield Ladies Shrine Club.
Surviving are her son, Dennis A. Cannon of Columbus; grandchildren, Scott Cannon of Phoenix, AZ and Stacy Cannon of Mansfield; great-grandchildren, Bailey, McKenzie, and Sydney Cannon, all of Phoenix, AX; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, C.A. (Neal) Cannon, who passed away in 1995; and siblings, John Brandt, William Brandt, Elizabeth Brandt Konves, Emil Brandt, Lydia Brandt Blue, Minnie Brandt, Charles Brandt, Adam Brandt, Katherine Brandt Carroll, Herold Brandt.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2014 from 3-6 p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 9, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to The Richland County Humane Society Feline Division.
