Grace E. (Wilson) Qualls, 93, of Mansfield, passed away on Monday, September 29, 2014.
Grace was born on Oct. 30, 1920, in Olive Hill, KY, to Robert L. and Susan J. (Wright) Wilson. Grace started and ended each day, reading her Bible. She was loved by her family, and would do anything for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was known to feed the neighborhood children, and loved having them around. Grace enjoyed staying up to watch the Golden Girls every night.
She is survived by her husband, Roger Qualls; four children, Glen Qualls and Bessie Qualls (Jr. Freeman), all of Mansfield, Linda (Doug) Noe of WV, and Delores (Gib) Erwin of IN; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one great-great-grandchild due in October; and numerous “adopted” grandchildren.
Grace was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Roger Sammons; five brothers; and four sisters.
Calling hours will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014 at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, LTD., 1106 Park Avenue East (St. Rt. 430E), Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 3, 2014, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mansfield Cemetery.
