Clear Fork Colts vs. Shelby Whippets
It’s fair week in Bellville but you’ll find plenty of people down State Route 97 at the Colt Corral.
Head coach Dave Carroll and his Colts will look for its second win in a row. The season got off to a rocky start as the Colts blew a big lead and lost the opener at Fredericktown. Week 2 marked redemption of the Colts in the form of a 42-18 win over Ontario.
Shelby is also 1-1. The Madison Rams (2-0) rolled over Shelby Whippets in a 34-0 season opener. But in week 2 Shelby bounced back to top Lexington (0-2), by a score of 32-21.
Last year’s match went in the Colt’s favor by a margin of 40-8. For Clear Fork, the win would mean steadier footing going into a wide open OCC race. For Shelby, the win would be a big confidence booster and bounce back from last year as they head into the NOL.
