Sally Skelton

Sally Jo Skelton, 57, of Mansfield, passed away early Sunday morning, Aug. 24, 2014, at OhioHealth MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. She was born Feb. 25, 1957 in Mansfield and grew up in Lucas.

She graduated from Lucas High School in 1975. She retired from Dr. Fernandez’s office and had formerly worked at Lumberman’s Insurance. Sally was a genuine, loving, caring person and loved all animals. She enjoyed camping, antiquing and flower and vegetable gardening.

She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Edward Skelton; mother, Louetta Goff of Lucas; two sisters, Kathy (Paul) Heimberger of Mansfield and Karen Caudill of Lucas; three brothers, Scott Goff, Brett (Melissa) Goff and Trent Goff, all of Mansfield; three brothers-in-law, James Skelton and Michael Skelton, both of Baltimore, MD, Daniel Skelton of FL; two sisters-in-law, Linda Wooldridge of Mansfield and Bonnie (Jim) Harding of Elizabeth, PA; her beloved dog, Toby; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert K. Goff in 2003; nephew, Jared Heimberger; niece, Sarah Heimberger; and brother-in-law, Robert Caudill.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014 in the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. The funeral service conducted by Pastor Harold Nickell will be held in the funeral home Thursday at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pat Kracker Breast Cancer Fund.
