David R. Yunker, 35, of Mansfield died Friday afternoon, Aug. 8, 2014, in OhioHealth MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. He was born Oct. 7, 1978, in Mansfield.

He was a graduate of Madison High School. A hard worker, David had previously been employed at both Candlewood Lake as a maintenance person and at Cole Tool & Die. He was a kind and loving dad who loved spending time outside camping and riding his four wheelers. David was a very good mechanic who could fix most anything with an engine. He was very helpful to his family and enjoyed cooking for them as well. 

He is survived by two sons, Jacob and Dakota Yunker; his mother, Tami Yunker (Robert “Brock” Brauchler); a brother, Jeremie (Christina) Yunker; maternal grandmother, Shirley Cline; special friend, Tonya Moore; and several aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Yunker; and his maternal grandfather, Harold Cline.

Calling hours will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014, in the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road followed by a memorial service at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in care of the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
