Auditions for upcoming Renaissance Youth Opera Theatre (RYOT) productions of “A Connecticut Yankee In King Arthur’s Court” and its companion piece, “The Prince and The Pauper,” will be held on Saturday, Sept. 13 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., and Sunday, Sept. 14 from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. 

Auditions, open to youth from the 2nd through 12th grades, will be held at the Renaissance Theatre, 138 Park Avenue West, in the Ballroom. Auditionees should prepare a musical theatre song and provide sheet music in the correct key.

Performances are Saturday, Jan. 31 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 1 at 3 p.m. at The Renaissance Theatre. RYOT productions are directed by Lori Turner.

With a jazzy score by Rogers and Hart, the wit and wisdom of Mark Twain’s classic tales come to life onstage.

RYOT will also be performing Chitty Chitty Bang Bang on May 30 and 31. Auditions for this production will be held at a later date. RYOT productions are part of the Mechanics Bank Education Series and are supported by the Ohio Arts Council.
