James Lee Rivers, 64, of Ontario, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Med Central Hospital.
He was born January 21, 1950 in Shelby, Ohio to Carl Eugene Rivers and Lillian Jane Click-Rivers. James enjoyed reading, playing with his grandkids, politics, golfing and was proud to have the designation of “Special Deputy”.
James is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Delana Rivers, Step-daughter Jessica (Scott) Stacy; in-laws James and Carolyne Erwin; Brother, Carl Rivers; Sister, Violet Arthur; special cousin Steve (Mary) Baldridge; sister-in-law Veronica (Keith) Lamb, Grandchildren; Christian, Mason, Hudson, Mariah, and Jaxon Stacy and numerous nieces and nephews.
James was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Peoples Baptist Church, 223 Vanderbilt Road, Mansfield, Ohio 44904. Memorial Service will follow at 12 p.m. It will be officiated by Pastor James Spencer and Pastor Earl Eiklor.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the family in care of Werner-Gompf Funeral Services.
