Enjoy free boat rides on Pleasant Hill Lake during the 2014 North Central Ohio Safe Boating and Fishing Festival. This free festival will be held Saturday, June 14 from 11 a.m. till 4 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Lake Park. Admission to the park will be free for the festival.

Everyone is invited to take a free pontoon boat ride. Free sailboat rides will be provided by the Mansfield Sailing Club and free Kayaking will give you a chance to try a Kayak from Fin Feather and Fur.

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources will net off an area in Pleasant Hill Marina and stock it with fish. This kid’s free fishing area will have everything your need including fishing poles, bait, and instruction provided so children can enjoy fishing.

While supplies last, the first 150 children to participate in two events at the festival will receive a free life jacket provided by Kent Sporting Goods with help from the Mansfield Noon Optimist Club.

Safe boating displays and information will be available.

All scheduled events are free of charge. A wavier of liability form must be completed by a parent or guardian. Participants under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. All events are weather dependent. 

Past festivals have been recognized as a Program Achievement Award Winner by ODNR Division of Watercraft.

Pleasant Hill Lake Park is located on State Route 95 between Butler and Perrysville. Admission to the park will be free for the festival. Details and pictures are available at ncosafeboatingcouncil.org
