Jerilyn Ann Ute, 72, of Lexington, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2014, at Lexington Court Care, following a lengthy illness.

Jerilyn was born on July 10, 1942, in Akron, to William J. and Nadine Dysinger Alloway. She loved fishing, boating, and was a Nascar fan. Jerilyn was a life member of the VFW Post 4329.

She is survived by four children, Brenda Sue Lenhart, Tonya Lynn Kallerson, Corrine Ann Huvler, and William Jay Walters; eight grandchildren, Joseph Allen Belcher, Monica Marlene Smith, Angela Rochelle Presley, Jerimiah David Cottrell, Johnatan Lewis Huvler, Laura Lynn Grimes, Nathan Paul Kallerson, and Erica Elizebeth Matz; several great-grandchildren; four step-children; three sisters, Charlene Holmes, Diane Carroll, and Francine Dowey; and one brother, Bruce Alloway.

Along with her parents, Jerilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas P. Ute; and her sister, Connie Secrist.

The family will observe private services. Burial will be held at Mound View Cemetery, Mt. Vernon.
