Three members of the Galion High School 2012 graduating class recently received honors into the Alpha Epsilon Delta fraternity at Otterbein University in Westerville. (L to R) Marc McCuen, Chad McCray and Pearson Huggins were all inducted into the National Health Preprofessional Honor Society which is dedicated to the encouragement and recognition of excellence in preprofessional health fields. Membership is selected based on a health preprofessional curriculum and academic achievement.

Marc McCuen, son of Mike and Joanne McCuen of Butler, is majoring in allied health and is a member of the Otterbein basketball team. After graduation, he plans to attend physical therapy school and receive his Doctor of Physical Therapy.

Chad McCray, son of Dennie and Joni McCray of Galion, is majoring in nursing and is a member of the Otterbein football team. He received the OAC Academic All-Conference Award while participating in football for the 2013 season. After graduation, he plans to become an RN, obtain experience in the field and return to school to become a nurse anesthetist. During McCray’s first two years at Otterbein, he has been on the Dean’s List (3.6 GPA or higher) three semesters out of four.

Pearson Huggins, son of Dr. Tyler and Caryl Huggins of Galion, is majoring in biochemistry and molecular biology and hopes to attend medical school. During Huggins’s first two years at Otterbein, he too has been on the Dean’s List three semesters out of four.

All three men are alumni of the Galion Basketball Team, are members of the National Honor Society and were roommates at Otterbein.
