The Renaissance Thursday Summer Organ Concert Series begins on Thursday, June 5 at 1 p.m. with Dr. Timothy Guenther at the console of the Renaissance Theatre’s Mighty Wurlitzer Theatre Organ. All concerts in the series begin at 1 p.m. at The Renaissance and are free and open to the public. Donations are greatly appreciated and aid in the maintenance of this amazing instrument.
Additional concerts on the schedule:
Thursday, June 26 at 1 p.m.: Organ prelude performed by organist Jay Spencer along with the silent movie “An Eastern Westerner” starring Harold Lloyd.
Thursday, July 3 at 1 p.m.: A patriotic organ concert performed by organists Bill Johnson and Betty Keppler and featuring vocal soloists Matt Madden, Emily Stack and Patrick Clinage. Wear your red, white and blue.
Thursday, July 10 at 1 p.m.: Organ concert performed by organist Doug Powers.
Thursday, Aug. 14 at 1 p.m.: Organ concert performed by Wayne Fisher.
Thursday, Aug. 28 at 1 p.m.: Organ prelude performed by Bob White along with the classic movie “Happy Go Lovely” starring David Niven, Vera Ellen and Cesar Romero.
