There were no reported injuries Monday afternoon when shots were fired by an unknown suspect on West Fourth Street. The shots possibly originated from a brick house at Fourth and Weldon streets across the street from the News Journal building.
The Mansfield Police Department responded to the call, which was made at approximately 1:55 p.m.
Officer Shane Gearhart stated, “All we know is that there was a yellow car involved, but it’s unknown if they were shooting or being shot at.”
Officers said there were witnesses at the News Journal and the car was described as a yellow Neon.
