The May 6 primary election will soon be here. The Shelby Area Democratic Club has absentee ballot applications for the upcoming Democratic primary.
Voters no longer need to give a reason to vote by absentee ballot. They do, however, have to give their driver’s license number or the last 4 digits of their Social Security number or a copy of a current and valid photo identification, a military identification, a current (within the last 12 months) utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck or other government document that shows their name and current address.
To receive an application, call 419-347-3337. The deadline to apply for an absentee ballot is 12:00 noon on Saturday, May 3.
