Athena May Gillum-Lyons passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital, while surrounded by her family.
Athena was the daughter of Alexandria “Alex” Adora Lyons and Charles Terry Gillum of Mansfield. She is also survived by maternal grandparents, Rodney and Irma Lyons of Ashland; paternal grandparents, Charles H. and Constance R. Gillum of Clarksfield; maternal great-grandmother, Mary Lyons of Mansfield; maternal great-grandfather, Clyde Mollett of Mansfield; paternal great grandmothers, Anna L. Gillum of Cutlettsburg, Kentucky and Geneva Morgan of Shelby; and numerous aunts and uncles.
Athena was preceded in death by maternal great-grandfather, Gene Lyons; maternal great-grandmother, Glenda Mottett; and paternal great-grandfathers, Charles E. Gillum and Clearance Morgan.
Calling hours will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 10, 2014 at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, LTD., 1106 Park Avenue East (St. Rt. 430E), Mansfield. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Robert J. Kurtz officiating. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park, Ontario.
