At its first meeting of the year, the Board of Governors of Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center (ESC) welcomed new member Mark Stock and elected Dennis Leader of Morrow County as president and Linda McFarland of Richland County as vice president.

A Lexington resident, Stock recently retired after 43 years as an educator. Since 1980, he worked in school districts in Richland and Crawford counties. Most recently, Stock served as Executive Director of the SPARC Council, where he led the Ashland, Richland and Crawford County districts in supporting students to plan for success after high school graduation.

Other Mid-Ohio ESC Board members include Mary Dixon of Richland County, Bill Hope of Richland County, Howard Koons of Crawford County and Mary Jean Theaker of Richland County.

During January’s School Board Recognition month, Mid-Ohio ESC Board members were recognized by Superintendent Linda T. Keller for their service. “We sincerely thank our dedicated Board of Governors for their very important contributions and service to Mid-Ohio ESC,” Keller says. “These people truly care about the students, teachers and administrators in our region and support the work we do at Mid-Ohio.”

As part of the Board recognition, hand-printed posters made by students at Mid-Ohio ESC Preschool were presented to members.
