State Representative Mark Romanchuk (R-Ontario) is encouraging residents of Richland County and the surrounding area to attend a public input meeting, where a proposed project to US Route 30 in Mansfield will be discussed.
The project is intended to improve pavement conditions and safety from SR 309 to Fifth Avenue, as well as provide safe access for residents and businesses to and from US 30. Modifications to the interchanges at SR 39, SR 13, SR 545 and Fifth Avenue are being considered, and the public’s input will assist The Ohio Department of Transportation in determining which alternatives to carry forward.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for those I represent to have their voices heard on this proposed project,” Rep. Romanchuk said. “The construction is certain to affect how those in Richland County get to and from various locations, so sharing your thoughts ahead of time will be very helpful to the project team.”
The meeting will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 29 at the United Steelworkers Union Hall, in Mansfield (376 W. Longview Avenue). The meeting will include an open house from 4-7 p.m., during which time members of the public may visit to talk one-on-one with members of the project team, view exhibits, ask questions and express any comments or concerns about the project.
A formal presentation is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., which will include an opportunity for audience members to comment publicly, if they wish to do so.
