Donna Bradshaw was an encourager, and eternal optimist who was not fazed by physical ailments or even daily stresses. Instead, her energy was focused on serving others. Serving her loving husband, daughters and grandchildren, and most importantly, serving her Lord. Always available for support, Donna is now, more than ever, supported by her Heavenly Father.

Donna Louise Bradshaw of Lexington passed into the presence of Christ, Wednesday morning December 4, 2013 after a heroic 4 month battle with lung cancer. She was 56.

Donna was born August 8, 1957 in London, Kentucky to James and Doris Roberta (Barrett) Kriner. In 1971 she moved to Lexington where she was graduated from Lexington High School in 1975.

For the past five years Donna worked as a systems analyst for Century Link.

Rightly titled, “the queen of shopping”, Donna loved to shop, especially alongside her daughters. Thoughtful in her purchases, she had a knack for remembering what her family really wanted or needed. Donna enjoyed keeping in contact with friends, and also kept an attentive, motherly, watchful eye, over her children.

Protective, but yet playful, Donna’s family was her life. She was her daughters’ number one fan at sporting events. Donna was also the world’s best grandma to her grandchildren. Described as selfless and nurturing, Donna lived with an authentic love.

Donna was a faithful member of Lexington Church of Christ. Known as one of the donut ladies, every week she offered donuts and refreshments between services. Donna was also actively involved with the youth group.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 26 years and spiritual partner, Allen Bradshaw of Lexington; mother Doris Roberta Kriner of Lexington; daughters Jessica (Vin) Cahill of Hilliard, Jennifer (Craig) Wobig of Ventura, California, Tiffany (Mark) Applegate of Columbus, Katie Bradshaw of Lexington, and Sarah (Mitch) Gillespie of Shelby; grandchildren Ryan and Erin Cahill, Christian and Quinn Gillilan, Lucas and Madelyn Wobig, Kaylee Gimbel, and Anderson and Benson Gillespie; brothers Bob (Cindy) Kriner of Lewis Center, and David Kriner of Roanoke, Virginia; nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her father James Kriner.

The family will receive friends Friday, December 6, 2013 from 4-8pm in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home where funeral services will be Saturday at 11am. Pastor Tj Waters will officiate. Burial will follow in Lexington Cemetery.
