Snow Trails Ski Resort located at 3100 Possum Run Road in Mansfield is hosting the Raemelton Oktoberfest Saturday, October 19. The event, complete with beer, brats, and a great cause, runs from 4 p.m. to Midnight, rain or shine with free admission.

The Fall Oktoberfest event is presented by Raemelton Therapeutic Equestrian Center, a non-profit organization located at 569 South Trimble Road in Mansfield. The center is dedicated to providing therapeutic riding for the handicapped. Proceeds from the event will benefit the center and help support the programs available to their students. Raemelton serves more than 80 students per week with mental, physical and emotional disabilities.

Sponsors of the event include Mansfield Motor Group, Snow Trails Ski Resort and Taylor Metal Products Company.

Local fundraising such as the Oktoberfest and donations help fund programs available to students at the center such as therapeutic riding, therapeutic driving and the C.A.R.E. program that helps students with physical and emotional trauma.

Authentic German food, a bratwurst eating contest, music, dancers, games and a 50/50 drawing will take place. From 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. there will be beer and wine tasting, shots and plenty of fun. Live music will be provided by the DeVault Ridge Band and from 9 p.m. to midnight there will be a cash bar and cover charge.
