In Monday’s tournament play, Lexington topped Madison
Jordan Gross would score Madison’s lone goal in the first half and at the break the score 2-1.
From there, it was all Lady Lex. The squad piled up four unanswered goals to finish the game at 6-1.
For purple and gold, Allie Gottschling and Emily Stevens would tally two goals apiece. LaMishia Curry and Olivia Depperschmidt would both add one.
Lexington’s Hannah Martin, Chloe Buchanan, and Stevens would combine for 3 total assists in the game.
Madison keep Katherine Loughman put up 14 saves on Madison’s behalf. Lexington captain and goalkeeper Megan Weiss tallied 5.
Lexington will test 2012 finalist contender Ontario at Lexington as OHSAA sectional play resumes at 1 p.m. on October 19.
