North End residents, churches, community groups and non-profit organizations are invited to apply for up to $250 in NECIC Small Grant funds for projects or events that benefit the North End of Mansfield.

The North End includes the area of Mansfield north of Park Avenue West, between Trimble Road and Main Street.

The program’s goal is to advance NECIC’s North End Community Economic Development (CED) Plan by connecting people, encouraging community involvement, and supporting volunteerism, while providing a public benefit to the North End community.

Due to changes in the Small Grant Program, a brief workshop will be held Thursday, Sept. 26 from 6-7 p.m. at 199 N. Main St. This workshop will explain the application process and the goals of the CED Plan, and will provide an opportunity for staff to answer any questions. Applicants are strongly encouraged to attend this workshop or to meet with staff prior to submitting an application.

Applications for a fall 2013 Small Grant must be received by 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 15 and are available at 199 N. Main Street or online at www.necic-ohio.org. Call Tony Chinni at 419-525-3101 for more information.
