LEXINGTON, OH–The Knights of Columbus Council 4448 from St. Mary’s of the Snows on Ashland Rd., Mansfield has presented a check totaling $386.02 to Richland Newhope’s Gift Fund.
The money was raised during a fundraising dinner held this past spring as part of the Knights of Columbus’ annual “Measure Up” campaign, which involves all K of C Councils in Ohio. The donation has been earmarked for use by Special Olympics.
K of C Council 4448 is one of several local councils that support Richland Newhope and its programs. Over the years, money donated to the gift fund has been used to provide various supports for individuals with developmental disabilities, such as the purchase of wheelchairs and other adaptive equipment.
Richland Newhope (Richland County Board of Developmental Disabilities) supports more than 1,800 individuals through early intervention, preschool, adult, residential, therapy, transportation, and other family-support programs.
