Gaylord Edward Poffenbaugh, 67, of Mansfield, died Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Hospice of North Central Ohio. Born November 5, 1945 in Mansfield, he was the son of Wilber and Eva (Procker) Poffenbaugh. Gaylord retired from Therm-O-Disc where he worked as a machine builder. He enjoyed farming and muscle cars and like attending tractor pulls, drag races, and flea markets.

He is surived by his wife, Gusta (Thacker) Poffenbaugh; son, Aaron Poffenbaugh of Lucas; sisters-in-law, Hazel (Bill) Sowder of Vermillion, Nellie (Walter) Robinson of Shiloh, Christine Flannery of Mansfield, Barbara West of Mansfield, and Wanda Young of Robbins, TN; brother-in-law, Joe Thacker of Grayson, KY; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; and his dog, Katie. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call Monday, August 5, 2013 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Diamond St. Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Mark Bailey. Burial will follow in Little Washington Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Association, or Hospice of North Central Ohio.
