As a part of their bicentennial celebration, Lexington library will be hosting a special event to commemorate the village’s 200th birthday on Wednesday, July 31 from 5 – 7 p.m.
The evening will feature a mounted horse to represent the first postmaster in 1813, music by DJ Erich Schroeder, free ice cream provided by Geyer’s Fresh Foods, games with prizes, face painting, and crafts.
Two young singers from Madison Junior High will sing happy birthday to Lexington. These girls sing across the state and have even performed the national anthem at a Cleveland Cavaliers game.
Bicentennial chairman, Tony Vero, stated, “The Lexington community is coming together to celebrate 200 years of pride in their community through public service and philanthropy. All parties involved, including the guests, are donating their time, money, or both for the celebration of community.”
