“It has gone really well this year. We are very pleased with the turnout we have seen,” said parade chairman of Shiloh Fire Department, Tom Messmore. Shiloh was celebrating the 47th Annual Fireman’s Ox Roast and it went on July 26 and July 27.
“We had over 8,000 pounds of beef here this year and we were sold out by 6:20 p.m. on Saturday night,” said Messmore.
The Ox Roast offers more than beef to visitors passing through. “Along with beef, we have hot dogs, baked beans, and homemade potato salad. We also offer homemade pies.” The parade that was held during the Ox Roast brought spectators from all different age ranges. The Plymouth Fire Department and the Plymouth Marching Band were on display for spectators.
