Downtown Mansfield, Inc. will present the Second Annual Spirit of Downtown Awards during the final installment of the Final Friday Concert Series on Friday, August 30.
The Spirit of Downtown Awards celebrate exceptional accomplishments in the ongoing investment in Downtown Mansfield. At this time, Downtown Mansfield, Inc. is seeking your input for nominations in the following categories: Excellence in Preservation, Best Kept Secret, Making Downtown Great, Outstanding Storefront and Arts & Culture.
• Excellence in Preservation: This award will go to an individual, business or group who contributed significantly toward the goal of preservation either in action or in advocacy throughout the year. 2012 Winner: Mechanics Bank.
• Best Kept Secret: This award will go toward a downtown business, attraction or event that is little known, but excellent! 2012 Winner: Buckeye Bakery Bread.
• Making Downtown Great: This award will go toward a person, business, organization or event that made an outstanding commitment to make downtown great. 2012 Winner: Richland Bank for their generous contributions toward downtown revitalization.
• Outstanding Storefront: This award will go to a business who takes particular care and pride in providing an outstanding storefront design for customers. 2012 Winner: Squirrels Den.
• Arts & Culture: This award will go to the person or organization providing the downtown with an enhanced arts and culture experience. 2012 Winner: Little Buckeye Children’s Museum
