This year’s 14th annual Tim Hess Memorial Golf Scramble will be held on July 20 at the Shelby Country Club. The proceeds of the golf scramble will go directly to the Tim Hess Memorial Athletic Scholarship Fund. This scholarship has benefited many Shelby graduates and will continue helping Shelby seniors that plan to go to college, but need some financial assistance. This is a great way to enjoy golf and at the same time help the youth of the community.
The entry fee for the scramble is $55 per person and will include 18 holes of golf, cart, and meal. Port-A-Cook will be catering the event. Cash prizes will be given to first and second place teams. There will be lots of door and hole prizes given during the meal. Once again hole-in-one prizes will be awarded to anyone making a hole-in-one on the designated hole.
This scramble will begin with a shotgun start. This means everyone will start and finish at the same time. Participants need to be at the golf course by 7:30 a.m. and the scramble will start promptly at 8 a.m.
