The Richland County Sheriff’s Office conducted a High Intensity Patrol Operation on Thursday, July 11 from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. resulting in four arrests for criminal charges ranging from Trafficking in Marijuana to Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Carrying out the operation was members of the Richland County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Impact Team (VCIT), Major Crimes Unit, Special Deputies Unit and K-9 Unit.
The Richland County Sheriff’s Office utilized criminal intelligence, citizen complaints and calls for service in determining the target locations: Pin Oak Court, Greenwich, and 57 Walker Street South, Mansfield.
Pin Oaks Court 1121 Clayburg Rd., Greenwich, had been identified and targeted for the operation.
The sheriff’s office received numerous complaints of drug activity, burglaries, breaking and entering’s and thefts occurring within the Pin Oaks Court. In response to those complaints deputies conducted surveillance of the trailer court, and upon corroborating some of the complaints and activities deputies converged on two trailers located at Lot #28 and #57.
Upon conducting consent searches deputies seized 200 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and illegally possessed prescription pills from Lot. #28. Deputies were able to link certain seized evidence to another trailer within the trailer park that had been victimized by an unreported burglary. The burglary investigation continues.
Deputies also seized drug paraphernalia and $2,228.00 cash believed associated with drug trafficking from Lot. #57. The deputies concluded the investigation with four arrests for criminal charges ranging from Trafficking in Marijuana to Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Dakota J. Alkire, a white male, 21 years of age, residing at 1121 Clayburg Rd. Greenwich, was charged with Trafficking In Marijuana. Andrew S. Kendeigh a white male, 25 years of age, 1121 Clayburg Rd. Greenwich, was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Sabrina B. Kendeigh, a white female, 23, at the same address was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; and Michelle R. Scott, white female, 42, of1121 Clayburg Rd. was charged with Possession Of Drug Abuse Instruments.
The Richland County Sheriff’s Office would like to commend and extend their appreciation to the property owners of the Pin Oaks Court and the new manager, who made the investigation’s success possible.
The operation was also conducted at 57 Walker Street South Mansfield. The sheriff’s office received numerous complaints of drug activity at Lot. 7. Deputies contacted the occupants of this trailer and consent to search was given. During the search, deputies seized drug paraphernalia and suspected synthetic marijuana product. Deputies had identified one of the occupants as having an active warrant for her arrest from Ontario PD for FTA-Shoplifting. The occupant was arrested and transported to the Richland County jail.
Evidence was submitted to the Crime Lab and the investigation is ongoing.
The Richland County Sheriff’s Office will continue to conduct High Intensity Patrol Operations in the future. Criminal statistics and intelligence information will be used to identify “Hot Spots”, of criminal activity, within Richland County.
