Local man crashes into tree on Marion Avenue

Around 3 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, Mansfield resident Robert Leroy Scarborough, 21, crashed into a tree on 930 Marion Avenue heading Northeast.

Scarborough is in the emergency room in Mansfield’s MedCentral.

The car, a silver 2000 Buick, was totaled when Scarborough crashed into the tree. He was reportedly checking his backseat for a noise when he lost control of the car and drove off the right side of the road.
