Sandra J. Kanz, 78, of Mansfield, died Thursday, July 4, 2013 at Mifflin Care Center. Born August 31, 1934 in Mansfield, she was the daughter of Alvin Elmer and Rose Marie (Reiter) Trumpower.
A graduate of Mansfield Senior High School, she was a sales associate at various stores including Kresgee’s, Grants, Kroger’s and Ella’s Dairy Bar. She attended Mayflower Congregational Church as a child and enjoyed reading books, working word searches and movies.
She is survived by a son, Gregory Allen Kanz; and numerous cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Kanz whom she married July 20, 1963.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 8, 2013 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield conducted by Rev. Gary Wilson. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service, from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio.
