According to Richland County engineer, Rex Yarger, this summer holds an average number of road projects when compared to previous years.

Yarger also commented that acquiring the financial resources for road construction is a challenge. He added, “However, Tom Beck, the county engineer, does a good job of obtaining federal, state, and local grants and stretching local money as far as possible.”

As a piece of advice for Richland County drivers, Yarger advised, “Beware of the construction sites; slow down, pay attention, and be patient.”
