Tonya Marlene Campbell, 42, of Perrysville, Ohio died Thursday, June 13, 2013 at her residence. Born January 4, 1971 in Mansfield, she was the daughter of Charles Lee Lambert, Sr. and Bonnie Jean Lambert Keaton.
She was a certified medical assistant, she had worked at several nursing homes in the past and most recently had worked part time for a local daycare before having to retire completely because of complications of Lupus. She gave of herself to all and was considered the neighborhood “mumaw” ~ whether it was feeding them or letting them spend the night. She especially enjoyed being around her nieces and nephews ~ making sure they had what they needed and always had a smile on their face. Tonya was a super person who always put others first whether they were young or old. Having lost her house in a tragic fire three years ago, Tonya was resilient in keeping everything together and helping her family thru the loss. She was a wonderful person and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Campbell whom she married May 18, 1994; a daughter, Robyn Renee (Pedro) Magana; two sons, Patrick Sean and Mitchell Lee Campbell; a granddaughter, Kylie and another on the way; her mother, Bonnie (Jonah) Keaton; two brothers, Charles Lee Lambert, Jr. and Bryan Eugene Lambert; her step mom, Kay Lambert and her sons, Robbie and Danny; her maternal grandmother, Mildred Fay Mitchell; her mother-in-law, Nettie Cushman; and her best friend, Shelly (Merle) Bradly. She was preceded in death by her father; her grandfather, Jack Mitchell; and her father-in-law, Robert L. Campbell.
Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 20, 2013 at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Dan Gates. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
