Kids bike registration program launched during Shelby Bicycle Days

A kids bike registration program launched to local youth at this year’s Shelby Bicycle Days festival — similar to a car registration.

Local residents spread out across Skiles Lawn and Black Fork Commons in the city’s downtown to enjoy a fireworks display Saturday evening.

The Bicycle Days parade strolled along Main and Gamble streets at 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon as community members lined Shelby’s sidewalks.

Shelby Bicycle Days festival opened Friday morning at the Black Fork Commons, providing food, events and live music for local residents.

The singing sisters of Sorellé and a mechanical bull are among new entertainment additions featured this year at Shelby Bicycle Days.
