Linda L. Stumpf, 77, of Crestline, died unexpectedly on Monday, Dec. 19, 2016 at her residence.
Linda was born in Baltimore, OH on Aug. 5, 1939 to the late Charles H. Cameron and Frances L. (Varian) Cameron of Galion. She married Joseph J. Stumpf on Feb. 14, 1990 and he preceded her in death on Dec. 28, 1998.
Linda has lived in Crestline since 1989 coming from Galion where she resided for 28 years. She was a bookkeeper and former owner of the Playpen Bar in Galion. Linda was the treasurer, bartender and life-time member of the VFW Post #2920, Crestline.
She was also a lifetime member of the AMVETS Post #31, Ontario. Her memberships also included, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #859, STATS, both of Crestline, and American Legion Scarborough, Post #243, Galion. Linda enjoyed traveling, especially to Florida and Hawaii.
In addition to her mother she is survived by her daughter, Deanna Eicher, of Galion, her granddaughter, Sarah and Rob Otten, of West Mansfield, her two great-grandsons, Logan Otten and Riley Otten, her three brothers, Charles and Judi Cameron, of Boynton Beach, Florida, Jerry Cameron, of Hollywood, Florida, Arthur and Debbie Cameron, of Columbus, her three sisters, Stella VanCuren, of Benton, Kentucky, Mary and Fred Baumgart, of Hollywood, Florida, and Barbara Eldridge, of Hollywood, Florida, numerous nieces, nephews and special friends.
She was preceded in death by her brother Paul Cameron.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016 at the Mark A. Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 223 West Main St. Crestline, with Rev. Gary Proietti officiating.
