Donna B. Hilliard Utt

Donna B. Hilliard Utt, 76, of Mansfield, passed away Monday, April 28, 2014 at Ohio Health MedCentral, after a lengthy illness.

Donna was born on September 18, 1937, in Portsmouth, OH, to Oliver S. and Virgie L. Kelly Hilliard. She was a member of Apostolic Faith Assembly. She married her sweetheart, John Utt, on January 23, 1955, and he preceded her in death on December 7, 2004. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Special thanks to family and friends, the Kidney Center, Mid Ohio Heart, and Ohio Health MedCentral for the care of our mother. Also a thank you to Donna’s aide, Cara, and Donna’s nurses, Homer, Ashley, and Martha.

She is survived by six children, Rick (Pam) Utt, John (April) Utt, James (Kaleyha) Utt, Lynn (James) Owens, and Beth (Robert) Smith, all of Mansfield, and Tammy Utt (Rich) of New Philadelphia; fourteen grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Donna was preceded in death in 1984, by her grandson, Johnny Owens; her parents; one brother, James Hilliard; one sister, Phyllis Hayes.

Calling hours will be from 5:00 to 8:00 on Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Ave. East, Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2014, at Apostolic Faith Assembly, 258 Stadium St., Mansfield, with Rev. Robert O’Brian officiating, assisted by her grandson, Rev. Ricky Utt. Burial will take place at Oak Grove Memorial Park.
