WOODVILLE TOWNSHIP – A 60-year-old Perrysburg man was killed on Saturday after a two=vehicle crash that included his motorcycle, according to the Fremont Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
James Richards, 60, sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash, the Patrol reported.
The incident took place on Saturday, Sept. 26 at approximately 4:41 p.m. on U.S. 20 East near mile Post 5 in Sandusky County.
According to the Patrol, Richards was driving a 1997 Harley Davidson motorcycle but was not wearing a helmet.
Eric Hill, 40, of Woodville, was driving a 2017 Dodge Ram and hauling a trailer that was loaded with a tractor. Hill was traveling with two passenger’s ages 11 and 14. Hill and his passengers were wearing their seat belts and none of them were injured during the crash, the Patrol reported.
Hill was found not to be impaired during the incident, the Patrol stated.
This crash is pending further investigation and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
Assisting on scene were the Sandusky County Sheriff’s Office, Woodville Police Department, Woodville Fire Department, Woodville EMS, Ohio Department of Transportation, and Ash’s Towing.
