MANSFIELD -- A local organization, Project One ARC Empowerment Center (located at 378 Park Ave. West), has announced its first annual bike drive.
"The goal is to provide bicycles for needy children in our area for Christmas," said Amanda Nichols, executive director of Project One ARC Empowerment Center. "By providing these bikes we believe we will not only be spreading love by giving, but also in many cases providing a much-needed means of transportation and exercise.
"Our mission and goals are crucial for children as we battle this unprecedented pandemic.
Nichols said the organization is dedicated to empowering the next generation.
Project One ARC Empowerment Center relies on the support of generosity of individuals and local businesses in the community.
"We would be most grateful if you would consider providing a bicycle or tax-deductible monetary donation toward our Children's Christmas Bike Drive," Nichols said. "At the giveaway event planned for Dec 12, we will require the children to be present for pick up and will also be providing cookies and hot cocoa.
"We will gladly keep you updated on our progress should you wish to bless us with your participation. We will be recognizing our donors and community partners through social media and our events."
Anyone with questions should contact Nichols at Anicholsprojectone@gmail.com, if you are able to support the effort to make a difference in the community.
