ASHLAND, Ohio — The dozens of NFL scouts who have visited Ashland University’s campus recently are there for one reason, but none of them can openly talk about it. “They ask about our seniors,” AU coach Lee Owens said, “then they follow him around.”

ASHLAND, Ohio — Ashland University’s offense and special teams couldn’t stay out of their own way, but Brandon Gency and the defense rode to the rescue. The Eagles overcame two first-half fumbles and a blocked punt and rallied for a 35-3 win over Findlay on Saturday at rain-swept Jack Miller Stadium.

ASHLAND, Ohio — Lee Owens has welcomed plenty of high-profile recruits to Ashland University during his 13 years as head coach, but none arrived directly from high school with as much fanfare as Keishaun Sims. Ohio’s reigning Mr. Football hasn’t disappointed.

ASHLAND — A potential milestone can’t take up space in someone’s head if they don’t know it’s coming. Such was the case for Ashland University head volleyball coach Cass Dixon, who earned her 100th win guiding the Eagles, a 3-0 (25-22, 25-18, 25-17) victory in the 2016 home opener against non-conference foe Malone on Tuesday […]

The original Broad Street Bullies, a nickname given to the rough-and-tumble Philadelphia Flyers of the 1970s, terrorized the NHL while winning back-to-back Stanley Cups in 1974 and 1975. The Flyers played their home […]

This marks the first time the […]

AMHERST, New York — With one header in the back of the net on Saturday afternoon in Amherst, N.Y., Ashland University freshman defender John Duldner became the answer to a trivia question. Duldner’s goal in the 110th and final minute on Saturday at Daemen lifted the Eagles, in their return to the pitch afterthe program […]
